Biomedical Applications CPU
Introduction
The
Biomedical Applications CPU involves the
study of cell biology, DNA and genetics, diseases, disease
treatments, transgenic technology, regenerative medicine, and
several other up-and-coming scientific techniques for improving
human health and quality of life.
This course also addresses the ethical issues
brought up by the use of various biomedical technologies and
encourages students to research and determine which practices are
ethical and which are not.
Students will also have hands-on experience with
extracting DNA, identifying antibodies and antigens, and separating molecular
protein.
